“Eleano” was founded in 1991 by Rino Grieco and Nino Calice, both passionate about vineyards and
allegiant supporters of the goodness of the “Aglianico del Vulture” wine.
Today the company is run by Francesca Grieco and Alfredo Cordisco, who share an intense interest
in viticulture and fine drinking, and who are personally involved in vinegrowing and in winemaking
activities. In the Aglianico del Vulture area, “Pian dell’Altare” is one of the most
renowned parts, the one best suited for the production of top quality wines.
The physical and chemical features of the soil and its perfect
exposure combined with a rigorous bunch selection and yields
in weight amounting to less than 7.000 kgs/hectare, make its
possible for the company, owning here about 15 hectare of vineyards,
to produce excellent grapes for its wines.
